“The birding was amazing! My Guide Miguel was really great, his knowledge of the wildlife, local area and people made the trip really rewarding. Highlights included seeing over 30 species of Humminbirds, 3 different types of Owls, a Spectacled Bear and the beautiful highlands near the Antisana Volcano. I really enjoyed the accommodations and the wonderful Ecuadorian food, especially Hacienda Jimenita which was beautiful and very comfortable to stay at.” – John.

“Fantastic trip! We booked on-line from the UK and I can say that Ecuadorbirdstours completely lived up to the 5* reviews from other travellers. Our tour was very well-organised, with everything working perfectly from our pick-up at Quito airport to the internal flight to Coca and our stays at the various different lodges. We particularly appreciated the care Diego took in designing our itinerary so that we visited the high Andes and both eastern and western slopes so we covered several different habitats, giving us a really good introduction to Ecuador’s beautiful scenery and fantastic birds. “If I could give Ecuador Birds Tours greater than a 5-star rating I would. We did a 15 day Birding Tour plus an additional day tour of Quito. The owner Diego runs the business side of things and is very responsive and works very hard to ensure customer satisfaction. Our guide Daniel did the Quite day tour and the first 2 days around Quito for birding and was outstanding. Our guide for the remainder of the trip was Miguel who was an exceptional guide as well well as being a very nice guy. We saw 520+ birds on the trip which was absolutely phenomenal. The food was great, and all of the lodging areas were beautiful with extensive nature trails and birding feeders on the property. You can’t go wrong if you chose them for a birding tour in Ecuador!” David.

“Excellent trip where birding and photo was the priority. Great guides and great itinerary to maximize birding. Our trip was from the Andes and Quito area down the easter slope to the Amazon, total of 9 nights. We also had 5 nights in Galapagos at the end. 7 different hotel/lodges, pickup from airport, transportation and meals where planned and all went according to this. We felt very welcome and taken care of. “We booked a three week package including birdwatching and a 4 day-3 night cruise of Galapagos, through Ecuador Birds Tours. Diego was our contact. He was patient and flexible with us, even when our airline cancelled our return flight, and we had to modify arrangements. EBT set us up with Jorge Luna, and excellent birding guide, for most of the trip. Daniel Cruz guided us for two days. Overall, we saw 403 species of birds, not counting the time in Galapagos. My wife was thrilled to get her Lifer counter over 1000! The base at Hacienda Jimenita was lovely and comfortable, with some birding and a good restaurant on site.” – Richard and Karen.

“2 week birding tour, our guide went out of his way to find particular birds for us in challenging conditions despite having seen them himself many times. Then, just before we left Daniel and his wife gave us a hand made hummingbird ornament as a parting gift! Speachless. I passed my target of 200 new species by 221 and that was just from the car, seeing a total Of 303. We have been on many birding tours around the world, we saw the most birds and had the best guides with Ecuador bird tours. Have never been close to tears saying goodbye to a bird guide before.
