Itinerary
ARRIVAL TO ECUADOR
Private Transfer in to our Birding Lodge, Hacienda Jimenita, located 15 minutes from the airport. No meals included.
ANTISANA CONDOR OBSERVATORY & WILDLIFE RESERVE
Pick up from our lodge at 5:30 am and drive towards the Upper Andean Valleys near Antisana Volcano. The Antisana Condor Observatory is the most impressive Andean Mount near Quito and Sanctuary of Wild Andean Condor. Upon arrival to the reserve we will observe the Condors from our Tower and other Hawks, Flowerpiercers, and Hummingbirds with an splendid view to the Waterfall. Continue to Antisana National Park making strategic stops to observe different bird species. We will have lunch viewing Secas Lagoon. After lunch, return to our Lodge surrounded with nature and birding reserve.

ANGEL PAZ ANDEAN COCK OF THE ROCK AND ALAMBI HUMMINGBIRD PARADISE
Early morning pick up around 530am to visit the Refugio Paz de las Aves Andean Cock of the Rock Lek and photography hides of Antpittas, Tanagers, Toucan-Barbets, Quails, Hawks, and other exotic choco endemic bird species. Continue for Lunch in our Lodge and afternoon explore the Choco Toucan Hides. Afternoon continue to our lodge in Mindo Valley.

PAPALLACTA PASS AND GUANGO TORRENT DUCK RESERVE
Pick up at 7:00 am for the East Slope Cloud Forest, passing through dry valleys, agricultural lands, and native polylepis forests before ascending into the high páramo, where we may spot a Spectacled Bear. At Papallacta Pass, a key transition zone, we’ll search for mixed flocks and high-altitude hummingbirds if the weather permits. Continuing to Guango Reserve, we’ll explore temperate forest trails and possible Torrent Duck and Grey-breasted Mountain Toucan. Afternoon return to our lodge.
Targets: Rufous-bellied Seedsnipe, Gray-hooded Bush-Tanager, Brown-backed Chat-Tyrant, Giant Conebill, Black-capped and Black-eared Hemispingus, Slaty and Pale-naped Brush-Finch, Sword-billed Hummingbird, Buff-tailed Coronet, Collared Inca, Hooded Mountain Tanager, Grey-breasted Mountain Toucan, Mountain Cacique, Inca Jay, Torrent Duck, Turquoise Jay and others.

LUXURY AMAZON LODGE EXPERIENCE IN NAPO WILDLIFE CENTER
Tranfer to the airport and 30 minutes flight to Coca City Included, followed by a transfer to the dock and a motorized canoe ride along the Napo River to the interpretation center. Continue by paddle canoe for about 2 hours through flooded forest, with chances to spot herons, potoos, cormorants, hawks, and possibly Giant Otters. Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a short briefing and explore the surrounding trails and observation tower. Yasuni National Park has more than 500 possible bird species, offering excellent birding and wildlife opportunities.

TIPUTINI OBSERVATION TOWER, PADDLE CANOE WILDLIFE AND TERRA FIRME FOREST
Early morning paddle canoe excursion to the Tiputini Observation Tower in search of the elusive Harpy Eagle. A short walk leads to the 36-meter tower, offering exceptional canopy-level views and opportunities to observe toucans, tanagers, raptors, and mammals such as sloths. Continue to Black-necked Red Cotinga Lek in Terra-firme Forest and return to the lodge.
In the afternoon, explore the lodge’s creeks by wildlife paddle canoe, with chances to spot Anacondas, Giant Otters, Caimans and other aquatic wildlife. Enjoy the sunset from the lodge. After dinner, an optional night walk offers the chance to discover nocturnal species in the surrounding rainforest.
